Eleanor Hollobaugh


Eleanor Hollobaugh began piano lessons at age 5, and earned a BME in piano performance and secondary education from Jackson State University in Mississippi, where she served as rehearsal accompanist for Opera South and performed Haydn’s Piano Concerto No. 11 in D major, Hob. XVIII:11 with the Jackson (MS) Symphony Orchestra. After graduation, she moved to Denver, CO and later to Columbus, OH, where she taught junior high music education using a curriculum she developed. She also was rehearsal accompanist for the City of Worthington Civic Ballet.

Eleanor moved to Huntsville in 2012, and currently leads therapeutic music activities at Grandview Gardens Memory Care at Redstone Village and at Huntsville-Madison County Senior Center, including individuals with Alzheimer’s, cognitive disabilities, and sensory limitations. She is active in Latham’sSunday School and Board of Stewards. She accompanies the Wesley Singers and plays during the 8:30 and 11:00 services.
